Heading into Week 6 of Thursday Night Football, the Denver Broncos hit the road for Qualcomm Stadium to face the San Diego Chargers.

The classic AFC West rivalry between the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers hits the primetime lights of Thursday Night Football this week. The Broncos are coming off their first loss of the season at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons to the final tune of 23-16 as they’re currently 4-1. The Chargers, on the other hand, are 1-4 coming off a nailbiting loss to the Oakland Raiders, 31-34.

Considering both teams are coming off losses, this should once again be another great clash between division rivals. This will be the 113th meeting between both franchises with the Broncos leading the series, 62-49-1 as history is also on their side as well. The Broncos have won the past five games against the Chargers.

Broncos’ head coach Gary Kubiak will not be in this Week 6 matchup due to health issues as special teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis will be the interim. Chargers’ head coach Mike McCoy is essentially fighting for his job as his team is already off to another poor start as the higher-ups have undoubtedly been getting frustrated at what is looking like another lost season.

Quarterback Trevor Siemian of the Broncos should be back under center after dealing with a shoulder injury, which comes at a perfect time. Not only has Siemian exceeded expectations so far this season but he’s making a name for himself. Quarterback Philip Rivers is off to a good start, but the Chargers have blown four fourth-quarterback leads so far this season as his efforts continue to be wasted.

The Broncos are on a 15-game winning streak when it comes to road games as this could very well be a defensive showcase for each team.

Defensive end Joey Bosa of the Chargers will make his Thursday Night Football debut and despite missing a handful of games, looks to be the real deal upon his return from injury.

Needless to say, the Broncos will unleash defensive end Von Miller against a banged up and inconsistent Chargers’ offensive line.

This game will be televised on both CBS and the NFL Network with kickoff at 8:25 p.m. ET. It will also be streamed for free on Twitter. Simply make a free account and click on “Moments” to catch a live stream of the Broncos vs Chargers Week 6 matchup.

Overall, this should hopefully be an entertaining game between two teams trying to rebound from last week’s losses. Especially for the Chargers who need something, anything, to rejuvenate a franchise that appears to be headed into another downward spiral.
