NFL Week 6: Who Plays on Monday Night Football?
Heading into Week 6, we take a look at which two teams will be squaring off on Monday Night Football
Week 6 on Monday Night Football should hopefully deliver a solid contest between two underperforming teams. On Monday night at University of Phoenix Stadium with kickoff at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time, the New York Jets will take on the Arizona Cardinals.

The Jets are coming off their third consecutive loss, an embarrassing one at that against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Gang Green got trounced on the road to the final tune of 31-13. They were unable to get anything going for them either on offense, defense, or special teams.
As the season of the Jets continues to head in a downward spiral, the Cardinals, on the other hand, have been quite underwhelming. They are coming off a much-needed win over the San Francisco 49ers with the final score being 33-21.
Then again, the Cardinals were supposed to beat the 49ers and should be able to do the same against the struggling Jets. Quarterback Carson Palmer returns after going through the NFL concussion protocol as he should continue being a catalyst on offense for the Cardinals.

Both teams need a win bad, more so for the Cardinals in front of their home crowd. This game could very well come down to the battle of running backs.
The Cardinals boast one of the top running backs in the NFL with David Johnson. So far this season, he’s totaled 457 rushing yards, 91 attempts, and five touchdowns.
The Jets have a veteran running back in Matt Forte who has been inconsistent for the most part but if he gets hot, could very well be a difference maker in this Week 6 matchup.
It’s imperative, however, that the Jets try not to put quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in a position to make the Jets’ offense too one-dimensional by passing it too much. Expect to also see running back Bilal Powell of the Jets play a key factor as a dual-threat option out of the backfield. With the Jets’ defense being abysmal, Gang Green must keep up with the potential of a high-powered offense with the Cardinals and stick to running the football while keeping it simple.

Overall, this should be an entertaining game featuring two teams looking for something positive this year to continue towards the halfway mark of the regular season. It won’t be easy but there is a lot of importance to this game for each franchise looking for a spark that could ignite the rest of the journey this year.
