NFL Honors 2017: Winners for Every Award
Tracking the winners and results for every award handed out at NFL Honors 2017 on Saturday, Feb. 5.
With less than 24 hours until kickoff for Super Bowl LI, NFL Honors 2017 will take the stage as a prelude to the Big Game. Though several organizations have handed out their awards all ready, this is the awards show that most regard as “official.” The Associated Press hands out their awards, including the NFL Most Valuable Player award. That all goes down at the Wortham Theater Center in Houston, TX.

16 awards will be doled out throughout the night, ranging from the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award to the Rookies of the Year on both offense and defense to the MVP. Hosted by Keegan-Michael Key, the show promises to be a mountain of fun and good times for all. What’s more, though, fans will get the chance to look back on an entertaining and wild season of football and identify who the best of the best were on the field.

Interestingly enough, the two leading candidates for the MVP are preparing to play on Sunday. Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan put forth an absolutely masterful effort at the helm of the offense this season, leading a historically productive unit. Meanwhile, Tom Brady returned to the New England Patriots after a four-game suspension to start the year and brought the pain to every opponent set before him. It’ll likely be one of those two taking home the hardware there.
The Rookies of the Year may have long been decided, but there are plenty of other races that are far from it. Subsequently, you won’t want to miss out on any of the winners throughout the night. If it were possible to hand out awards to multiple players at NFL Honors, that would make sense in many cases with the way this season plays out. Like Highlander, though, there can be only one. And though there may be some “snubs,” the ones selected are deserving in their own rights as well.
