Needed Positions/Room For Improvement
On the offensive side of the ball the Lions are very, very solid with RBs Reggie Bush and Joique Bell playing at the top of their games along with the league’s best receiver in Calvin Johnson and streaker Golden Tate. Matthew Stafford next season should be even better with a great array of receivers and tight ends to chose from. Perhaps in the draft the Lions cold pick up another receiver perhaps in the 3rd round. On the defensive side of the ball I would like to see another addition to the defensive line, maybe a defensive tackle or an outside linebacker who can get to the quarterback. Last year the Lions’ run defense (a few games aside) was actually one of the best run defenses in the entire NFL. With Idonije gone, the Lions could improve on the outside defensive end (probably the left side defensive end position). With that said I think the Lions and their coaching staff needs to continue practicing during the off-season and continue to make that secondary better and better until their NFC North title is securely in their hands.
