There was a reason that Andre Johnson was pissed off about the team sitting back and not taking a quarterback. They had Ryan Fitzpatrick as the only “capable” starter on the roster and Case Keenum would be competing for the starting job. Keenum took first team reps with the team at practice today and could be an option for the team as the starter, per Pro Football Talk. Soon, I am sure that they will throw rookie Tom Savage in the fire to see what he can do.

The team is full of talent on the defensive side of the ball, but they are lacking an important piece on offense. Matt Schaub would have been a better option to keep around then the guys that are currently on the roster.
Keenum could be the team’s starter on offense. There has been a bit of chatter with Brian Hoyer‘s name involved to go to Houston. That option is available if the team wants to pursue it. Every team in the league knows that Houston is hungry for a quarterback though and will be looking to raise the price on them. If Houston really wants to make a trade for a starting quarterback, they would make that trade sooner rather than later.
