Champ Bailey is still looking to catch onto a roster after getting cut by the Denver Broncos in the offseason and then getting released by the New Orleans Saints at the end of preseason. I don’t know how much the veteran has left in the tank, but he still thinks he can still play this game and is going to try to make the Detroit Lions roster.

The Lions could use some help in the secondary and are looking in all areas for help. Could they use the veteran on their roster? Bailey is a big name, but his talent is starting to fade and doesn’t have that All-Pro type of ability any longer.
There was some talk about moving Bailey over to safety last season with the Broncos, but they never made that switch. Bailey just doesn’t have the legs that he used to, but he is aware and knows this game better than most. If he was moved over to the safety position, he could use his awareness to make plays on defense.
We will see how the workout went. If he gets signed by the Lions, then things must have looked good.
