Carson Palmer Injury: Arizona Cardinals QB ’50-50′, needed treatment
There are many conflicting reports out there on the status of Arizona Cardinals starting quarterback Carson Palmer, but it’s my goal to pass along all of them so that you guys can make an informed decision on his status and have all those updates available. We’ve heard multiple reports that Palmer is expected to play today barring a setback during pre-game warm-ups, but we’ve also heard that Palmer is a total toss-up due to the nerve issue in his shoulder.

According to FOX Sports 910’s Mike Jurecki, Palmer has a “50-50” chance of playing today and will indeed be a game-time decision, so the latter fact is clear at this moment in time. Per Jurecki, Palmer needed treatment on his right, throwing shoulder all week and was limited in his throwing throughout the week. If he doesn’t look good in warm-ups, then the Cardinals could be forced to rest him and roll with Drew Stanton, who is obviously a big downgrade on the relatively dependable veteran.
Palmer helped lead the Cardinals to an 18-17 victory over the San Diego Chargers last week, as he poured over 300 passing yards in a solid performance. Hopefully he can play today, and we should expect the tough QB to gut it out. However, there’s a strong chance he is inactive, especially with the strong “50-50” reports floating around.
