The Detroit Lions won’t stop the sack dances, even though a sack dance is the reason why they won’t have Stephen Tulloch for the rest of the season. It is a freak thing. You don’t expect a player to blow out their knee on a little dance. There are so many other ways that the player can blow out their knee in this game and a sack celebration is not one of them. It sure is laughable though… if you are not a Lions fan of course.

Here is Coach Jim Caldwell’s thought on the sack dance.
"“This is an emotional game,” Caldwell said. “This is a game where guys have to go through quite a bit … to get accomplished what they’re trying to get (done). It’s tough. Oftentimes you’re trying to defeat two to three people to get something done, and when it does indeed happen, when a guy lays it on the line, gives everything he has, it’s kind of an emotional reaction, oftentimes, and it’s tough to keep that under wraps. – Detroit Free Press"
I agree that the team should not stop the players from celebrating their victories on the field. It just is sad that a player will have to miss the rest of the year because of a bad dance.
