Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Lovie Smith said that there is a good chance that Mike Glennon will be starting this week per Scott Smith. Expect him to take the rock from under center and hopefully he can spark something for the team.

More from Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers have been playing like trash to start out the season and last week’s mess against the Atlanta Falcons topped it all off. The defense wasn’t able to make stops and the offense couldn’t move the chains and then Josh McCown got knocked out of the game with a thumb injury.

Glennon is supposed to be the team’s quarterback of the future. They may want to look into that future early. Glennon did well in his first season as the starter and lost his starting gig when the team brought in McCown. Glennon gets another opportunity to impress this weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Time for the kid to step up and take advantage of his moment. He should be the starter anyway.
