Andre Johnson suffers ankle injury, questionable to return
Houston Texans superstar wide receiver Andre Johnson has been targeted heavily when looking at the ratio of targets he receives compared to the rest of the team. There’s no doubt that the veteran is still one of the most fearsome wideouts in the game, even if he’s cursed with Ryan Fitzpatrick as his quarterback and made his displeasure with the organization’s inability to find a top franchise QB in this year’s draft known.

Johnson caught six passes for 71 yards on seven targets today to lead the Texans in receiving again, but he also left with an ankle injury of unknown severity. The Houston Chronicle’s John McClain reports that Johnson headed back to the locker room, and the the Texans have announced that he is questionable to return to the game.
The Texans are up 20-17 on the Buffalo Bills in an extremely close game, but the tides could turn without Johnson, who has been the team’s biggest threat on offense today. Counting today’s stats, Johnson has 22 receptions on the season, and he’s been incredibly efficient. I doubt he’ll be able to head back into today’s game since it’s relatively late in the fourth quarter, so Fitzpatrick will have to make do with DeAndre Hopkins, RB Arian Foster, and the tight ends that, quite frankly, haven’t been used enough in the offense this year.
