Odell Beckham Jr. officially at full strength

New York Giants first-round wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made his long-awaited debut this past week, and the former LSU Tigers star did not disappoint, as he finished with four receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown, roasting a subpar Atlanta Falcons secondary. OBJ was given more snaps than expected, as most beat writers and insiders thought he would be severely limited. He was, of course, limited in his first game back, but the Giants allowed him to involved, and he whipped Falcons talented young CB Robert Alford for two pass interferences to add to his box score haul.

More from New York Giants

According to the New York Daily News’s Ralph Vacchiano, Beckham is finally at full strength, as the Giants have not listed him on the injury report, which means that this is the first time in his NFL career that he has been labeled as healthy. He’s finally over those hamstring issues that kept cropping up, and this is terrific news for the Giants going forward.

Odell Beckham Jr., Victor Cruz, Larry Donnell, and Rueben Randle form a pass-catching core of four that is clearly superior to the Giants top quartet from last season. OBJ can win at any level of the field, and his ability to stretch the field or turn a dump-off into an explosive play makes him a versatile weapon that the Giants will surely covet for years to come.
