10. Richard Sherman, Patrick Peterson, and Earl Thomas’ Combined Interceptions

Sherman and Peterson are both almost universally regarded as the top two cornerbacks in the game today. They’ve yet to intercept a pass between them in 2014. That said, some quarterbacks shy away from throwing the ball their way (which is a credit to them), but still — zero? For good measure I threw in the Seahawks’ dominant safety, too. He’s has also yet to grab an interception in 2014. Again, it doesn’t mean these players are technically underperforming, but it is of note that they’ve been held off the stat sheet in this important category.

9. Tom Brady’s ‘Two’ Seasons

Brady has already experienced two seasons of sorts in 2014. Both a lackluster season and a phenomenal season. The first four games of the Pats’ season didn’t have many memorable moments for the future Hall of Fame quarterback. But he’s thrown literally twice as many touchdowns (12) in the last three games than he did in the first five games combined (6). Some people were beginning to write-off Brady and the Pats, but as one of the all-time greats he showed that he still has it this year and that his play hasn’t diminished.
