New York Giants list Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie questionable

New York Giants star cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie hasn’t shown any signs of mailing it in this season, and that’s key considering what happened the last time he signed a lucrative contract with an NFC East team. DRC has looked just as motivated as he did last season when starring for the Denver Broncos on a one-year, prove-it deal, and he and breakout star Prince Amukamara have combined to form one of the NFL’s most formidable cornerback duos.

More from New York Giants

Rodgers-Cromartie was active against the rival Dallas Cowboys in Week 7 but barely played due to multiple injuries, as he is suffering from back, ankle, and hamstring ailments. The bye week came at a nice time for DRC, and he has an extra day to rest before facing the Indianapolis Colts high-flying passing attack on MNF, which is even more scary with Reggie Wayne’s return to health and the sensational play from rookie Donte Moncrief last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

According to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, the Giants have officially listed DRC as questionable this week, and it looks like he will be a game-time decision for a second straight game. If he’s unable to play, then the Giants cornerback depth would severely constrained against a deep passing attack, though the Giants also have to balance their need for DRC right now with the risks of aggravation to one of their star players.
