Lamar Miller, Rashad Jennings Injury Updates

Miami Dolphins feature back Lamar Miller has been excellent so far this season, and I only wish the Dolphins gave him some more carries. However, he did get bounced out of last week’s incredible 37-0 win over the San Diego Chargers due to a sprained AC joint. It’s a painful injury that usually costs a player one or two weeks and can be aggravated, but Miller was always viewed as having a good shot at playing against the 6-2 Detroit Lions this week.

More from Miami Dolphins

According to the Palm Beach Post’s Andrew Abramson, Miller practiced today after getting in some minor work yesterday, and Abramson tweeted that Miller may have even gotten a full practice in. While we won’t know his status until the Dolphins release their official practice report, the fact that he practiced today indicates that the Dolphins expect him to play this week, barring a setback. With 21 receptions, six total touchdowns, an average of 4.9 YPC, and over 500 rushing yards, fumbles are the only weak point in Miller’s game at this point

The New York Giants, on the other hand, probably won’t get their feature back this week, as bellcow Rashad Jennings was not able to practice today. He looks unlikely for this week’s big battle against the Seattle Seahawks, and NJ.com’s Jordan Raanan reports that it is more likely for Jennings to return for the Week 11 home game against another top NFC West foe in the San Francisco 49ers. Jennings is a huge part of the offense and would immediately give the Giants a big boost when he hits the field, but they’ll most likely have to wait another week for their impressive workhorse.
