NFL International Series: Miami Dolphins vs New York Jets in 2015
By Matt Reed
It is becoming more and more evident that an NFL franchise will soon reign overseas. Since 2007, the National Football League has hosted at least one regular season matchup in London, England, at the nation’s legendary Wembley Stadium. While there won’t be a new team in 2015, one of the three scheduled games will be a first for the league. According to Around The NFL writer Kevin Patra, the Miami Dolphins will take on the New York Jets on Sunday, October 4, 2015 in the NFL International Series.

This historic AFC East rivalry will be the first divisional matchup since the inception of the NFL International Series back in ’07. Miami will be considered the home side, when they take on New York in Week 4. In addition, the Jacksonville Jaguars will face the Buffalo Bills on October 25, in Week 7, as well as the Kansas City Chiefs playing host to the Detroit Lions on November 1, in Week 8.
The New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, and Kansas City Chiefs will all be making their debuts in London come 2015, so give Detroit, Miami, and Jacksonville a slight edge. All three of the latter teams have played or will play at Wembley this season. The Jacksonville Jaguars will be involved with their overseas fixture this Sunday, when they take on the Dallas Cowboys.
