Arian Foster, Lamar Miller Injury Updates
Houston Texans star running back Arian Foster did not practice on Thursday or Friday after being a mid-week downgrade, as he did get a limited practice in on Wednesday. Foster is fully expected to miss today’s game despite the questionable listing, though the Texans are holding out hope by making him a game-time decision against the Cincinnati Bengals. The second-best RB this season, Foster is dealing with a groin injury, and this is something that could easily be aggravated if the Texans aren’t careful. It sounds like he may have already aggravated the injury a bit at practice, as he did not play against the Cleveland Browns last week.

The Houston Chronicle’s John McClain reports that everyone seems to expect Alfred Blue to play after carrying the load admirably last week, and McClain adds that he would be “surprised” if Foster plays after not practicing on Thursday and Friday. I feel the same way, but Foster’s status is still worth monitoring as we head closer to kick-off time.
Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller was also a mid-week downgrade, as he became a limited participant at practice on Thursday, so it is a significantly less severe downgrade. Miller is listed questionable on the injury report with a nagging shoulder injury and a new knee injury. That said, the Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero reports that Miller will be out there today against the Denver Broncos, so we should fully expect him to suit up.
