Julius Thomas Injury: Broncos TE will be a game-time decision

Denver Broncos star tight end Julius Thomas has been unable to add to his haul of 12 touchdown catches this season, but he still leads the league in that category despite missing the past two games with a nasty ankle injury. Thomas could miss a third straight game with the injury, as his status is in question for tomorrow’s game against the Buffalo Bills. Even though he’s practiced every day this week, Thomas is still dealing with some pain, and he’s considered highly questionable to suit up.

According to the Denver Post’s Mike Klis, the 26-year-old will be a game-time decision tomorrow, as the Broncos won’t know his status until “a couple of hours” before kick-off time. Thomas was a game-time decision last week before being ruled inactive, and there’s a chance that he hasn’t made enough progress to suit up this week. He’s officially listed as questionable on the injury report, and the Broncos might feel safer holding him out in order to minimize the risk of aggravation; he’s definitely more important to have in the playoffs than in a Week 14 game against a team they can easily beat without him.

As of yesterday evening, Orange Julius isn’t sure if he’ll be able to play, and fantasy owners will surely check his status frequently tomorrow for any gameday updates from insiders. There’s no clarity regarding Thomas’s status at this point, so he’s a true game-time decision until further notice. I would take the cautious route and expect him not to play, but more information should be on its way tomorrow morning.
