Roddy White Injury: Falcons WR doesn’t doubt status

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White missed last week’s game against the Arizona Cardinals with an ankle injury, so Matt Ryan decided to feed Patrick Peterson and the “No Fly Zone” a steady diet of Julio Jones, as the Falcons soared to an impressive upset. It will be much harder to pull off an upset of the Green Bay Packers tomorrow night, as the Packers are playing better than anyone else in the league right now after dethroning the New England Patriots last week. The Falcons defense poses little threat to Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay offense, so the Falcons will need Roddy White to be healthy so that Ryan can have every opportunity to try and keep the pace.

White is listed questionable on the injury report after practicing yesterday, and the team is optimistic about his chance of playing. Well, White feels even more strongly about his shot at suiting up tomorrow night, because he stated that he has “no doubts” about his Week 14 status.

He said, via ESPN NFL Nation’s Vaughn McClure, “I don’t have any doubts. I’m just trying to get us a win, man. No doubts. The only doubt in my mind is the cold, man. … Slight chance of snow, so we’re looking good.”

At this point, nobody should expect White to miss this marquee matchup, but hopefully he won’t be hobbled by his ankle injury. I expect to see plenty of Jones out there, since good things happen when he gets a high volume of passes sent in his direction.
