Week 17 NFL Predictions: Who makes the playoffs?
Dec 20, 2014; Santa Clara, CA, USA; San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh hands off to running back Frank Gore (21) during warm up before the game against the San Diego Chargers at Levi
Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers:
With help of the Rams, the Cardinals could still be the Nr.1 in the NFC, but they need Ryan Lindley to play the best football he ever has. The 49ers are playing for pride, and Jim Harbaugh would love to leave the 49ers on a win. While the Cardinals defense is still elite, the offense is bad, maybe the worst in the NFL. Without their starting quarterback and starting running back, the Cards have been stagnant and unable to put up points. I think it could be a really low scoring game, but the 49ers will pull out the win, ending the season 8-8.
Winner San Francisco 49ers
St. Louis Rams @ Seattle Seahawks:
The Rams have already beaten the Seahawks earlier in the season, but that was a different Seahawks team. The Seahawks defense have shut down every offense they have faced in the last five weeks. The Rams have been up and down this whole season, but even if they have a good day, I think the Seahawks are simply to good right now, especially at home. I think the game could be closer than many expect, but I think the Seahawks will win a low scoring game. Through this win the Seahawks will lock up the one seed, and put themselves into perfect position to try to win another Super Bowl.
Winner: Seattle Seahawks
Cincinnati Bengals @ Pittsburgh Steelers:
The Steelers dominated the Bengals three weeks ago, but the Bengals played really good football last week against the Broncos. If the Bengals can play just as well as they did against Denver, they have a good chance of winning this game as well. On a good day, the Steelers can put up points against any defense, but they are very up and down. The Bengals need A.J. Green to be healthy, because without him they don’t really have much of a passing attack. It will be a hard-fought game between these two AFC North teams in their battle for the three seed. In the end I think the Bengals will win the division once again. I think they will have a very good offensive performance, where Jeremy Hill will run all over the Steelers defense.
Winner: Cincinnati Bengals
