WR Wes Welker, Denver Broncos

With Eddie Royal (62 receptions for 778 yards and seven touchdowns) and Seyi Ajirotutu (four catches for 45 yards) both free agents, the Chargers are now in the market for another receiver. While I would love to see Dez Bryant or Demaryius Thomas in a Charger uniform, I doubt they will accept the money the Chargers are going to offer. With that considered, I think the Bolt should go for underrated Wes Welker or re-sign Eddie Royal and draft a wide out.

If the Chargers have Welker, they will essentially have a more experienced Eddie Royal. Welker can return punts (9.95 yards per return from 2005-2009 with the Dolphins and Patriots) and he can catch footballs.During the period from 2007-2012 (Welker’s entire stint with the Pats), Welker caught an average of 112 passes for 1,243.2 yards and 6.2 touchdowns including 2011 where Welker caught 122 passes for 1,569 yards and nine touchdowns (career-highs, except for receptions in which he set his career high at 123 in 2009).

He is great in short passing situations and in the slot. If the Chargers can get over their AFC West grudge, I believe that Welker can see success in 2015 with San Diego.
