Honorable Mention: P.J. Williams, Florida State Seminoles

Position: Cornerback

Height & Weight: 6’0″ & 194 pounds

2014 Season Statistics: 74 total tackles, 52 solo, 6.5 for loss, 1.0 sack, 1 interception, 1 fumble forced, 10 passes defended

One of my personal favorite prospects in the 2015 NFL Draft is Florida State Seminoles cornerback P.J. Williams. He has a second-round grade on most boards, which pushes him to an honorable mention, but his talent is immense.

A good and physical athlete with ideal size, Williams has genuinely elite potential.

Williams has proven to be a viable threat in pass defense and is capable of coming up to stuff the run. His timing is superb when defending in man coverage and he’s much faster than his combine showing suggests.

That’s exactly what he did with top performances in the vertical and broad jump drills, as well as the rest of his workout.

Williams deserves to crack the Top 10, but his second-round grade is tough to overlook. The Cowboys could potentially trade up on Day 2 to get him, which makes a Day 1 selection more of a risk.

If he can stay motivated, Williams will be a top player to emerge from this draft class.
