The highlight of the 2015 NFL Draft is a deep and star-studded crop of running backs. From lightning-quick playmakers to physical runners between the tackles, there’s no shortage of talent.

One of the premier prospects is Boise State Broncos star Jay Ajayi.

Ajayi is a physical runner with the quickness and elusiveness to be an every-down player. A 2011 torn ACL and a tendency to fumble the ball are both concerning, but not enough to limit his upside.

According to Lance Zierlein of NFL.com, Ajayi has received rave reviews from scouts.

"“Of all the backs in this draft, Ajayi might be my favorite because he can do everything you want from a back and you don’t have to find a complementary back to pick up the slack for him in any one area.” — AFC scout in charge of grading running backs"

It’s not hard to see why.

Ajayi has an outstanding build at 6’0″ and 221 pounds and the combination of raw power and athleticism to be a three-down back. He’s a downhill runner who accelerates through contact and has received rave reviews for the way he’s bounced back from character concerns.

Ajayi runs like Marshawn Lynch and, per Zielein, that’s his upside comparison.
