Chris Culliver, Cornerback
Perhaps the most underrated cornerback on the free agent market is San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver. He is coming off of a very solid 2014 season, and it is a position that the New Orleans Saints definitely need to improve in the offseason.
He ended up recording 45 tackles, four interceptions, a forced fumble, and 15 defensed passes. Those numbers are impressive to say the least, and he would make an immediate difference for the Saints secondary. Culliver is a very underrated free agent this offseason, and he likely won’t be getting too big of a deal which will make him affordable for the Saints.
Culliver is just 26 years old, which leaves him as a long-term option for the Saints if they get him this offseason. He would be an ideal fit for their defense, and would be able to help improve one of the worst secondaries in the NFL.
Expect to see New Orleans pursue a cornerback in free agency, and Culliver would be an ideal target for them.
