Devin Smith. 32. player. 47.
Just because the New England Patriots won Super Bowl 48 doesn’t mean they don’t have positions that need addressing heading into next season.

If Darelle Revis leaves, then finding a replacement cornerback quickly becomes number one priority. But as of now, he is still on the roster and still under contract.

The biggest position of need for the Patriots is wide receiver, particularly a deep threat for quarterback Tom Brady.

Devin Smith, receiver out of Ohio State University, fits the bill of your prototypical deep threat. In fact, last season, Smith was the NCAA’s best deep threat, averaging an incredible 28.2 yards per carry. Finishing the season with 33 catches for 931 yards, Smith was an integral part of the Buckeyes run for the National Title, catching four touchdowns in the teams final three games.

With a good running game, and a quarterback that could throw the deep ball with accuracy, selecting Smith could change the dynamic of this offense next season.
. Wide Receiver. Ohio State
