Antonio Cromartie, Cornerback

The Arizona Cardinals would like to retain cornerback Antonio Cromartie this offseason if they can, but it isn’t going to be easy. Cromartie has been very open about his interest in returning to the New York Jets, who released him last offseason.

Last season with the Cardinals, Cromartie ended up recording 48 tackles, three interceptions, and 10 defensed passes.

Cromartie was an excellent fit across from Patrick Peterson, and the Cardinals need to do what they can to bring him back. There are going to be quite a few teams interested in signing him, but the Cardinals can give him a competitive offer. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him return to Arizona, but they are going to have competition.

Plenty of teams have needs at the cornerback position, but Arizona will need a similar type of player to Cromartie. Re-signing him would obviously be the ideal scenario for the Cardinals, and they need to do everything they can to make that happen.
