1. Tom Brady – Rob Gronkowski

Let’s get real. When you started reading this list could you ever imagine that anybody would be ranked over Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski?

The New England Patriots winning the most recent Super Bowl in dramatic fashion only cements them as the leaders in the clubhouse.

Brady needs no introduction or explanation. Gronkowski on the other hand, did. That was until this past year when he put to bed all the injury concerns surrounding his potential future.

As amazing as it sounds, Gronk is still only 25 years old. It feels like he’s been in the league a lot longer than that.

2012 and 2013 saw Gronkowski miss five and nine games respectively. Last year he played in 15 contests, compiling 82 catches for 1,124 yards and 12 touchdowns along the way. Not to mention he hauled in a big touchdown in the Super Bowl as Seattle foolishly left a linebacker on him out wide and stubbornly did not adjust.

Brady and Gronkowski remain the gold standard as it relates to the quarterback-tight end combination in the NFL.
