Number 1: Charles Clay – Tight End

This seems to be the easiest, yet hardest name on this list of five.

Charles Clay was drafted by the Miami Dolphins as a fullback/tight end back in 2011. The project of developing Clay took a couple of year’s, but once completed, the impact was enormous. Over the last two year’s, Clay has not only developed into a safe-haven for quarterback Ryan Tannehill, but into one of the best young tight ends in the NFL.

With the Dolphins slapping the transition tag on Clay, the fifth-year tight end has fielded offers from other teams, most notably, the Buffalo Bills.

So far the two sides have yet to come to a contract agreement, leaving Clay without work.

Last Friday, the Dolphins made salary-dump moves, trading Dannell Ellerbe and Mike Wallace. The trades have now cleared up enough space for them to bring back Clay, if desired.

A tandem of Clay and newly-signed tight end Jordan Cameron would perform miracles for Miami’s offense, giving them one of the best one-two-punch tight end combos in the league. The dual threat’s would also help open up the field for the rest of the offense.

Last season, Clay was third on the team in receiving, catching 58 balls for 605 yards and three touchdowns.
