Acquisition of RB LeSean McCoy
Perhaps the best move of the offseason will end up being the Buffalo Bills trade to acquire former Philadelphia Eagles’ star running back LeSean McCoy. He was a huge part of Chip Kelly’s offense over the past couple of seasons, and is one of the best running backs and playmakers in the entire NFL.
McCoy is exactly the type of boost that the Bills’ offense needed, and he ended up running for 1,319 yards and five touchdowns on 312 carries in 2014.
Those numbers aren’t nearly as impressive as his 2013 season, in which he totaled 1,607 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. McCoy is also a very dangerous receiver out of the backfield, and is an extremely elusive player in the open field. Rex Ryan is going to have a lot of fun with McCoy on his team, and he is by far the best running back that Ryan has ever had to work with.
At 26 years old, McCoy is still in the prime of his career and is poised to have a huge season for the Bills. He will be the main focal point for the Bills’ offense, and will be asked to shoulder a big load with the complicated quarterback situation that Buffalo is currently in.
