The Chiefs are likely to look to draft multiple players at the wide receiver position. Titus Davis is expected to go in the later rounds of the draft, but he is an interesting prospect who could make an immediate impact for the Chiefs.
At 6-foot-1, 196 pounds, Davis has good, but not great size for the position. While he may not be a natural burner, Davis does have good speed and even better quickness on the field.
Davis shows elite level route running skills, and great balance in and out of his cuts. He has great quickness off the line of scrimmage that usually allows him to handle press coverage very well.
He shows a very natural ability to get open in the middle of the field, and does a very nice job of coming back to the ball when the quarterback is under pressure.
While Davis has shown the ability to make a tough catch in traffic, his hands are inconsistent. He needs to improve on that at the next level.
Davis was a bit of a deep threat in college, but his lack of pure speed makes that unlikely to transition much to the NFL. That being said, the Chiefs love the short passing game, and that is where Davis does his best work.
His route running ability, and pure knack for getting open will allow him to have a chance to be a solid performer in the NFL.
Davis is another sleeper prospect who could fit the Chiefs’ system extremely well at a position of need. They should strongly target him in the fourth and fifth round of the draft.
