5. Week 3 26-20 OT W vs. Denver Broncos

The Broncos came into CenturyLink looking to avenge their embarrassing Super Bowl defeat, and, thankfully, they actually managed to make it a game the second time around. Coming off of a tough loss to Philip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers, the Seahawks weren’t favored by as many people as they should have been, but they took care of business in their fortress, needing overtime to put down the Broncos in what was an incredible contest.

Wilson added a modest 40 rushing yards on nine carries, but he was at his best through the air in this one, completing 24 of 34 passes for 258 yards and a 99.9 QB Rating. Both statistically speaking and in terms of actual play on the field, Wilson had better games in 2014 than his Week 3 performance against Denver, but the importance of this victory can’t go unnoticed. The Seahawks were also up against one of the NFL’s best secondaries and a pass rush that put plenty of pressure on him (a special note here to Von Miller).
