Overall Consensus of the Potential Move
Perhaps the most obvious way to summarize the potential trade of Adrian Peterson to the Dallas Cowboys, is that it would immediately make them contenders in the NFC. They would be an improved team from last year, and their offense would be even more dangerous which is a scary thought.
Peterson is wanting a fresh start, and being traded to Dallas would be a wish come true for him. There aren’t many offensive lines around that are as talented as the Cowboys’ offensive line, and Peterson would be an unstoppable force behind it. He may be 30-years-old, but playing angry on a new team would make him even more dangerous than he has been over the past few seasons.
It is going to be very interesting to see whether or not these trade talks do end up taking place. He would be a perfect fit for what the Cowboys are trying to do, and has made it very clear that he doesn’t want to play with the Minnesota Vikings this offseason.
All of that being said, the overall consensus for the Cowboys potentially acquiring Peterson is that it would be a huge move to put them back as Super Bowl contenders. Peterson would look strange in a Cowboys jersey, but it might be exactly what he needs.
