Ryan Russell. 7. player. 53. There aren’t many players that are drafted in the seventh round that end up making much of a difference for the team that drafted them, and there are few that ever make the roster. Purdue Boilermakers’ defensive lineman Ryan Russell is looking to be one of the few that do end up making it, and he has a very solid skill-set.
At this point, the Cleveland Browns are simply going to be looking for any player that looks to have talent and could help them if needed.

Russell ended up recording 44 total tackles, 3.0 sacks and a forced fumble in his senior season last year at Purdue. He may not end up making any kind of difference in the NFL, but he can’t be counted out either. There is no denying that he has an NFL body at 6’5″ and 273 pounds, but he has a lot of work to do on his game to get to where he needs to be.

NFL coaching staffs can work on players and turn them into more talented players than they ever appeared to be. The Browns could use more depth on the defensive line, and Russell seems to be a candidate in the seventh round.
. DL. Purdue Boilermakers
