Andre Holmes – Hillsdale College

Continuing the trend of undrafted wide receivers, Andre Holmes bounced around the NFL after graduating from tiny Hillsdale College in Michigan. Holmes spent time with the Minnesota Viking, Dallas Cowboys, and New England Patriots although much of it was as member of their practice squads. He appears to have finally found a home in Oakland after joining in May 2013.

Holmes is another one of the number two type receivers the Raiders have but he is certainly built like a number one. At 6’4″ 210lbs, Holmes has all the measurables to be a number one receiver in the NFL but he has been described as a “stiff” because of his lack of fluidity. Despite that, Holmes has shown flashes of big play ability and his ability to go up and get the ball proved invaluable for Carr last season.

He made several key catches last year and was an excellent complement to James Jones. His numbers are not eye-popping because he is far too inconsistent and has trouble getting open at times but his sheer size and athleticism make him enough of an asset to the Raiders offense.
