Baltimore Ravens: Breaking Down 2015 Schedule
By Phil Naegely
Week 13 – December 6 at Miami Dolphins, 1:00 pm EST (CBS)
The Ravens to the Sunshine State for a game they must win. While Miami has been competitive and played the spoiler role recently, the visitors can’t allow that to happen to them in Week 13. This is their easiest game of their remaining 2015 regular season wins.
They need the confidence from this game to propel them against their tough divisional and non-divisional games down the stretch. A loss against the the Dolphins on the road would not bode well for Baltimore.
Week 14 – December 13 vs. Seattle Seahawks, 8:30 pm EST (NBC)
Richard Sherman and company will be coming to town looking to get back to the Super Bowl for the second-straight year. This will be a tight matchup from the opening kickoff and neither team will have much breathing room for errors throughout the game. Just like in week 1 against the Broncos, the Ravens defense must be ready and play tight to their coverage assignments all day. Russell Wilson will exploit them and make them the laughing stock of the league in front of a national audience if they don’t. Expect a rush-heavy game plan from the Seahawks after electing to pass on the goal-line against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 49.
The result of this game will truly show what kind of team the Ravens are. Seattle is not a team to take lightly and the Ravens if they are truly a competitive side in 2015 must show up for all 48 minutes (and longer if needed). Luckily, the Ravens won’t have to listen to the formidable 12th man as the game is at home, but they’ll need to watch out for Richard Sherman all night.
Week 15 – December 20 vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 1:00 pm EST (CBS)
For the second straight week, the Ravens are lucky they are taking on their opponent at home. This is the second game within the Ravens’ final home stand of the season.
Andy Reid‘s Kansas City Chiefs side will most likely be looking to secure an AFC playoff spot, if not still be in contention to win the AFC West. This game most likely will be a battle between two teams fighting for the final playoffs depending how they season plays out. Alex Smith will look to throw over 3,000 yards for the second-straight year.
However, the Ravens defense should have things figured out by this point and prevent Smith from a superb outing. With this being the final non-divisional game for the Ravens, it is important that they come away with a win.

Week 16 – December 27 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, 8:30 pm EST (NBC)
Currently the Ravens final prime-time game will come against the Steelers. No matter how good or poor the Ravens or Steelers are playing, this game will most likely remain on NBC. However, there is a chance the game could be flexed out, but there’s a higher probability that the final regular season game against the Bengals is flexed into prime-time.
The result of this game could literally flip the standings. It’s great when NFL divisional games are down the home stretch as they bring out the best in rivalries and the passion (and frustration) from the fans. Look for this Ravens-Steelers game to draw big television ratings and be one of the best regular season games of the season.
Unlike last season, the winner will be decided in crunch time in a close game.
Week 17 – January 3 at Cincinnati Bengals, 1:00 pm EST (CBS)
If this game decides who wins the AFC North, this game will most likely be flexed to a later time slot on CBS or into NBC’s Sunday Night Football. The Ravens need to bring their A game to Cincy this year as this game could affect who wins the AFC North or even qualifies for the playoffs.
Nonetheless, this match features two dynamic offenses and teams that are very familiar with each other. Last season the Ravens went 0-2 against the Bengals and can’t afford to repeat that stat in 2015. Their non-conference schedule in 2014 was much easier than this year’s schedule and that could show in their overall record before their final regular season match.
