4. Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys – Week 9, SNF
DeMarco Murray will return to AT&T Stadium with his new team for the first time. He and Eagles fans should expect a loud chorus of boos when Murray is handed the ball. On a side note, why do fans boo opposing players who were traded off their team? It wasn’t their decision to leave…anyway, Murray left voluntarily, so I guess booing him is somewhat justified.
A lot of questions need to be answered before we get to Week 9. Who plays quarterback for the Eagles? Who starts at running back for Dallas? Last year, these two teams split their two meetings (the road team won both times). The last time the Eagles visited Dallas, they soared to a Thanksgiving Day romping of the Cowboys. Hopefully we will see a repeat of the game at Philadelphia.
These two teams should be considered the favorites in the NFC East, as their rosters seem to be the strongest and they finished first and second last season. This game should have playoff implications and should (in theory) be a tight contest. Dallas should get the win at home, even without DeMarco Murray – any competent running back should succeed behind that offensive line. Philly’s quarterback issues could come back to bite them as well.
