Week 17 – @ Kansas City Chiefs

The Raiders season finale is a trip to Kansas City and Arrowhead Stadium to face the Chiefs. The Raiders were embarrassed in their last two trips to Kansas City and they have not shown that they are able to overcome the Chiefs significant homefield advantage. Last season they played spoiler to Kansas City’s playoff hopes with their victory in week 12 and they will look to hopefully do the same this season.

Winning at Arrowhead Stadium would represent a giant leap in the progression of this team. The Chiefs could also have already clinched a playoff spot in this game and it may not impact their playoff seeding. That could open the door for the Raiders to notch a win against either Chase Daniel or Aaron Murray but the opposite is also possible with the Chiefs needing a win to clinch a playoff spot.

The Raiders will have come a long way this season but a win against a hostile crowd in Kansas City looks unlikely, unless of course the Chiefs have already clinched. Still a 7-9 or 6-10 win season would represent a step forward for the Oakland Raiders back to relevancy and it is easy to see that the future is bright for the Silver and Black.

Prediction: Loss

Record: 7-9
