Could Indianapolis Colts 2015 offense be the greatest ever?

Last season, the Indianapolis Colts got within a game to heading to the Super Bowl. Quarterback Andrew Luck has yet to play in the big game but rest assured, when his time comes he will most likely put up an unforgettable performance once he gets there. Heading into this year’s offseason, the Colts knew that they needed to truly load up on offense to really have Luck take off this upcoming season.

Offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton continues to keep the Colts’ offensive playbook one of the hardest ones to defend against in the league. It was hard to find the right balance for a potent running game last year but with Frank Gore in the mix now, Hamilton will have a top-notch running back that will open things up even more offensively.

Throw in a wide receiver corps that features veteran Andre Johnson, soon-to-be rookie sensation Phillip Dorsett and Donte Moncrief leading the pack, the Colts have unreal potential at the position. With solid contributors at tight end in Dwayne Allen and Coby Fleener it all pretty much solidifies their claim to pick up where they left off from last year and truly light up the scoreboard.

Thinking about the possibilities of running a no-huddle offense, unleashing a dominant running game, dual tight end formations and just pure mastery at wide receiver, the Colts’ offense will be quite the force to reckon with in 2015. It wouldn’t be surprising for them to have added so much talent offensively that they’ll break all sorts of records and accolades straight to the Super Bowl.

Expectations are incredibly high since all these additions have been well-received across the football world as the sky is truly the limit. Adding veterans into their offense will surely breed a successful culture that could push this team towards greatness.

Considering how bad the AFC South has been and continues to be, there is little reason to believe the Colts won’t repeat as division champions. Their neighbors in the division have also gotten slight upgrades this offseason but won’t really have any answers when the Colts are ready to deploy their juggernaut of an offense.

The mentality by the Colts is that winning now is of the highest priority. Their loss in the AFC Championship Game will be a constant reminder that they must play at such a level, it’ll put them right into the NFL history books.

If everything comes together offensively as it very well should be, the Colts will absolutely field the greatest offense that has been seen in quite some time.

While many might feel that the Colts are taking risks with aging veterans, one can’t put a price on the experience and leadership they bring to a team.

The Colts know that veterans are usually key contributors that can be consistently depended on. They deliver when you need it most, especially in critical moments that can make or break your season.

Overall, expect some incredible feats and accomplishments by the Colts’ offense come this season. There is no telling just how far this team can go but let it be known that opposing teams will have their hands quite full once Luck and company hit the field to unleash magic.
