The Green Bay Packers brought back their star receiver by re-signing Randall Cobb. With all of the talent they have, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if they were the best offensive team in the NFL in 2015.

In today’s NFL, the quarterback position is by far the most important position on an NFL roster. Quarterbacks are able to make players around them better and while it’s important to build a strong team as a whole, the reality is that Super Bowl-winning teams always have a quarterback who can play at a high level when the game is on the line.

When you take a look at the past five quarterbacks who won Super Bowls, it’s easy to note just how impactful they were to their team’s success. Tom Brady, Russell Wilson, Joe Flacco, Eli Manning, and Aaron Rodgers are all great talents at the quarterback position. Luckily for them, the Green Bay Packers have perhaps the league’s best quarterback in Rodgers. A true top-notch quarterback by any means, Rodgers simply is so special because there really isn’t anything he’s bad at doing.

Not only does Rodgers have a rocket for an arm and excellent field vision, but he’s extremely intelligent at reading defenses and picking apart its weakness. Having that player alone is obviously huge for the Packers, but it’s not just Rodgers that makes Green Bay’s offense so special.

With an offensive line consisting of Bryan Bulaga, T.J. Lang, and Josh Sitton, the Packers have the tools to set up a solid rushing attack for Eddie Lacy and the rest of the running back committee.

A strong running game almost always makes a quarterback a more efficient player. Defenses in today’s NFL usually stop the run first to make offenses pass the football. However, because of the Packers’ running game with a guy like Lacy, defenses are forced to load the box top stop Green Bay’s run offense. Because of the additional defenders loading the box, Rodgers is able to pick apart defenses with ease and the reasoning why is quite simple.

Rodgers is without a doubt one of the smartest quarterbacks in football. He’s obviously extremely special before the snap of the ball, but he also is extremely dangerous at reading the defense right after the ball is snapped. Rodgers has enough pocket versatility to move around and evade pass rushers before he finds an open receiver, which is quite easy for him as his receivers are more than capable to break free from one-on-one coverage.

With all of this being said, the Packers are able to constantly thrive as a football team because of their vaunted offense. After all, it isn’t often to find a team with an elite quarterback, an elite running back, an elite receiving corps, and an above-average offensive line. When you get a combination like that, like the one the Packers have, a team is able to put up around 30 points each game.

In 2015, the Packers’ biggest challenge will obviously be their ability to stay healthy and just how well their defense can hold down the front. However, the Packers’ offense has all of the prerequisite tools that are needed to form an elite offense. If all goes well for Green Bay, it wouldn’t be surprising at all if the team ended up being the best offensive team in football this upcoming season.
