But

If quarterback Jay Cutler continues to have his issues with turnovers, then any improvement the Bears have made elsewhere could become a moot point.

This past season, the strong-armed signal-caller completed a very-respectable 66.0 percent of his passes for 3,812 yards and 28 scores. But the nine-year pro also totaled 24 turnovers (18 interceptions, 6 lost fumbles) in 15 appearances in 2014. He was benched at the end of the season but was forced to return when replacement Jimmy Clausen went down.

So can new offensive coordinator Adam Gase cure what ails the talented but perplexing quarterback? The Bears did deal away one of his favorite targets in wide receiver Brandon Marshall but the team still has Alshon Jeffery, rookie Kevin White and veteran free-agent pickup Eddie Royal. There’s also hope that Marquess Wilson can stay healthy this season while tight end Martellus Bennett comes off a huge season in which he totaled 90 catches for 916 yards and six touchdowns.
