Just The Facts
Over the past two seasons, it has been hit or miss when it comes to the San Francisco offense and in particular the team’s ability to light up the scoreboard. Including three playoff contests in 2013, the 49ers have scored 600 points in 22 wins (27.3 PPG) compared to only 175 points in 13 losses (13.5 PPG)…It will be interesting to see if the new-look Niners will be as careful with the football as their recent predecessors. Over the past four seasons, the team has committed a mere 66 turnovers, with a high of 22 turnovers coming in 2014. San Francisco coughed up the football just 18 times in 2013, ’16 times in ’12 and tied an NFL record with a mere 10 turnovers in 2011…Dating back to 2002 and realignment, the 49ers are a combined seven games under the .500 mark (100-107-1) in the regular season. But nearly half of those wins (44) came in the last four seasons under now-former head coach Jim Harbaugh…
