1. Drew Brees

This comes as no surprise at all but it’s still relevant. Brees will have to deal with a bunch of new faces among his receivers so it will be crucial for the Saints’ offense to have him at 100% in order for him to make other players better like he did many times in past years.

Health-wise the 36-years-old signal caller from Austin, Texas should be ready to go without any of the problems that affected his throwing arm/shoulder last year, as he recently declared:

From a mental standpoint we all know how much of a professional Drew Brees is, how thoroughly he prepares for each game and how dedicated he is to his team.

Brees should find some help from the offensive line, a unit that looks much better than last year’s. Center Max Unger will provide stability in the interior, something they lacked evidently last year and something that Brees needs to have in order to climb up in the pocket, go through his progressions and surgically deliver the ball.
