Defenses & Kickers to Trade For
For the most part, people aren’t trading defenses and kickers anyway, but consider throwing these players into another trade as a way of gaining the tiny advantage that may be the difference between a win and a loss.
Houston Texans Defense
The Texans have one of the league’s best defenses, and I expect them to create more turnovers than they were able to against an efficient Kansas City Defense. Target them if you want a defense that you don’t have to worry about week-in and week-out.
Ryan Succop – Tennessee Titans Kicker
The Titans show us that they could move the ball fairly well, but I expect rookie Marcus Mariota to have trouble getting the ball in the end zone at times, which means Succop will be relied on for the field goal. Consider adding Succop on to an already established trade just to sweeten the pot.
Defenses & Kickers to Trade Away
Jets Defense
The Jets have a solid defense this season, but in my opinion they are nothing more than a weekly streaming defense. They don’t get to play the Browns every week, and they play elite offenses in the Colts and the Eagles over the next few weeks. If you can get anything for the Jets defense after a big Week 1, go ahead and do it.
Brandon McManus – Denver Broncos Kicker
Denver should be punching into the end zone more than they did on Sunday, meaning McManus likely won’t often repeat his performance which saw him outscore the likes of Andrew Luck, Drew Brees, Eddie Lacy, and Jamaal Charles.
