Even without Sheldon Richardson on the squad, the Jets have the NFL’s most formidable three-man front, and touted rookie Leonard Williams immediately looked at home in run defense. We all knew that Williams looked like a sure-fire, top-notch run defender as a draft prospect, and he didn’t disappoint, chalking up five tackles in his first game.

But the most impressive members of the Jets defensive line last Sunday were veterans Muhammad Wilkerson and Damon Harrison, as both showed again why they are two of the best players at their respective positions. Harrison got the better of Mack, while Wilkerson absolutely dominated everyone he crossed paths with.

The same story seems destined to repeat itself on Monday night in Indianapolis, especially since there will be no star players like Bitonio or Mack lining up on the other side of the trenches. This is a battle the Jets can win with ease, which furthers the notion that they can make the Colts offense one-dimensional, forcing Andrew Luck to heave the Colts to victory.
