OK, I’ll be the first to admit this prediction might not be the hardest to achieve, but this is bold in saying it could – no, it will – happen this Sunday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Last season, Randle had three games where he rushed for over 50 yards per game, and in both games this season, he’s achieved that feat as the starter of the Cowboys. Even in ’13 (his rookie season), Randle twice broke the 50-yard plateau with his running back abilities.

This week against the Falcons, Randle will not only surpass his 65 yards rushing in Week 17 of last season against the Washington Redskins (69 yards and one touchdown on four carries), but he will surpass the 100-yard rushing mark with at least 25 carries, and he’ll score his first touchdown as well for the ’15 season.

This sharing the time in the backfield really isn’t my cup of tea when I watch the Cowboys, and with Romo out and Brandon Weeden in as the starting quarterback, it is time to see if Randle is able to carry the load as the lead rusher for the Cowboys.

It is time for the Cowboys to grind out a solid rushing performance this season and use their offensive line to the best of their abilities. This would also be a good time to see if Randle can handle the carries of a true starting running back, all the while not making careless turnovers.

Sunday could be a big day for Randle, and against a Falcons team that has allowed 80.5 rushing yards per game (the Cowboys are averaging 94.5 yards rushing per game), the Cowboys rusher will make that average rise following the competition of Sunday’s game.
