Fantasy Football Week 3 Advice: Terrance Williams to feast?
By Ryan Disdier
Everyone wants to win in NFL fantasy football. Whether you want to beat your roommate, your uncle Joe or a computer, chances are you’re going to strategize while picking your lineup for this week.

Honestly, being good at fantasy football is usually just luck. I’ve been in leagues where the guy who barely knows anything about football wins. It’s a crap-shoot.
Without further ado, here are fantasy football tips that might — it’s a strong might, mind you — help you win this week. But remember, these are just suggestions. If you lose don’t blame me! But if you win, I accept both cash and check.
1) If you have someone on the Seahawks, START THEM
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Not Jay Cutler, Alshon Jeffery or an incompetent Bears defense.
Honestly, if you have anybody on the Seattle Seahawks (Russ Wilson, Beast Mode, Jimmy Graham, Tyler Lockett), then I would advise starting them against a crumby — that’s being generous — Chicago Bears team.

2) Start Matthew Stafford with caution

If it were me playing Stafford — and it is, because I have him in my one for-money league — I wouldn’t start him against this impressive Denver defense. Aqib Talib and Chris Harris Jr. — Google him if you’ve never heard of him — make up the best cornerback tag team in the league. You might be in a tough position, though. As Stafford is my number-one option, so I’m a tad scrapped.
With that being said, if you’re lucky enough to own Ameer Abudullah, start him.
3) DeMarco Murray = start
This one is seriously only based on how I feel about the game. But whenever a team gives an average team no chance, the result ends up favoring the no-chance team.
Sure, Murray has struggled. but that’s to be expected from someone who led the NFL in yards last year. I just have a strange feeling Chip Kelly and the Eagles put it together in week 3. If they don’t, well, stick a fork in ’em.
4) Terrence Williams might feast
Never mind that he’s a number-two threat in Dallas. Williams might have a big game, depending on how Atlanta decides to match up against the Cowboys. Odell Beckham Jr. feasted on Robert Alford, and if Alford is matched up on Williams, the latter should have some good numbers.
5) START LE’VEON BELL
In case you missed it, the Redskins — whose four runners accumulated 88 yards against the Giants — ran all over the Rams.
Well, Le’Veon Bell is back from his suspension, so expect him to return with an absolute vengeance. For those of you who drafted Bell with the first or second pick, kudos. For those of you who didn’t … look out.
6) Carolina’s defense is a must
If you have the Panthers D, do yourself a favor and start them. The Saints are sans Drew Brees this week, and let’s face it: They didn’t look too good with Brees, anyways. Unless you think Luke McCown is going to play like a legitimate starter.

7) Shady is a sleeper, of sorts
The Dolphins have the 27th-ranked rush defense in the league. LeSean McCoy is the most elusive back in the league. You do the math on this one.
He’s had a slow start, but the former Eagle is due for a big game.
8) Chris Ivory worth a start, too. Marshall, too
Speaking of poor rush defenses, the Eagles boast the 17th-ranked unit. Chris Ivory has been running with purpose as of late, but then again, this entire Eagles team has been playing like Ben Affleck in Daredevil.
Marshall has been playing some terrific football recently, and he’ll be guarded by the overrated, overpaid Byron Maxwell.
9) Have faith in the beard
Yeah, Andrew Luck played poorly against the Jets, but I don’t think Darrelle Revis is playing for the Titans this week.
Remember, this is the team that let Johnny Manziel light them up. Expect Luck to put up impressive numbers.
10) Brady = start
Brady + playing Jacksonville at home = gaudy numbers. Right? If TB12 was able to light up Buffalo’s defense like a Christmas tree, it’s hard to imagine him struggling against the Jaguars.
11) Aaron Rodgers a good, but kind-of risky start
I’m not about to say the best quarterback in the league is a bad start, but this Chiefs D has been better than advertised. Rookie Marcus Peters has two picks in as many games.
This unit has a lot of chances to get sacks and turnovers. It’ll probably still be a good outing for Mr. Rodgers.
12) START ANYONE ON THE SEA … oh, I already said this one
Once again, the Bears are seemingly hapless this week. If you have Seattle’s defense, please start them.
13) Start Adrian Peterson
Here’s another pick based on feeling, but I think All Day is going to go off on against the 21st-ranked rush defense.
Peterson hasn’t been great thus far, but it’s hard to justify not playing the best back in the league.
14) BONUS: Suicide Pool Prediction
Pick Seattle or Carolina. Easy enough.
