Quin is the best defender on the Lions right now, and his ability to make plays on the ball is a huge key for this team. Only Tashaun Gipson equalled Quin’s seven interceptions last season, and that playmaking ability has already shone through this season. Quin’s already at two interceptions after just three weeks, and he is the lone bright spot in a secondary that has been burned repeatedly this year.

Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse, and Jimmy Graham have been nickeling-and-diming defenses as the Seahawks top three pass-catchers around Wilson, who has thrown just two interceptions this season in this safe offensive attack. RW3 is one of the best in the business at taking care of the football, so the best way to thwart the Seahawks offense, especially if Marshawn Lynch does indeed miss today’s game, is to force him to make that mistake. And the best way to do that is by having someone like Quin who can make those game-changing plays on his own.
