Jan 26, 2012; Indianapolis, IN USA; Indianapolis Colts new head football coach Chuck Pagano (lefT) poses for a photo with owner Jim Irsay (middle) and general manager Ryan Grigson after a press conference at the team

“Chuck Pagano’s Seat is on Fire”

If you want to be 100% real with yourself this isn’t all Chuck Pagano’s fault. Colts GM Ryan Grigson is the culprit behind this weird 2015 Indianapolis team. Grigson’s first draft pick was Andrew Luck No. 1 overall in 2012. Aside from making the most obvious pick in the history of the NFL, what has he really done? The Colts are the oldest team in the NFL, so long term success doesn’t look good, but their short term success is highly in doubt. They may win the AFC South this year, but that’s only because the Texans haven’t started JJ Watt at quarterback yet.

Unfortunately there are many reports about Pagano’s job being in danger which is a complete joke. Jim Irsay isn’t a “football guy” and he pays Grigson to be the guy who puts a Super Bowl winner together. Unfortunately the Colts aren’t doing so great and Irsay is a very passionate man who wants to be more like Jerry Jones and less like Dan or Art Rooney.

Irsay will most likely allow Grigson to fire Pagano if the Colts continue to struggle. He’ll hire a big name head coach to take over and still have the same problem he has now. A team that’s old and has minimal depth that hasn’t really drafted well and has failed in free agency.
