“The Bills Will Be in the Mix at the End of the Year”
The Bills are similar to the Jets as they have a pretty good defense and their offense is just good enough to keep them in games and help them win a few. Anytime you have Rex Ryan as your head coach you have an opportunity to make the playoffs. The Bills, like the Jets, have the luxury of playing the AFC South this year. So far the Bills are 2-2 and own the final Wildcard spot in the AFC. Their next three games are against AFC opponents including two games on the road against the Titans and Jaguars and one game at home against the Bengals.
The Bills are currently not healthy and were missing LeSean McCoy and Sammy Watkins last week in their loss to the Giants. The Steelers will need to keep pace with Buffalo as they do not play each other in 2015. The frustrating part about the Steelers current situation is that they’re already in a 0-2 hole against AFC opponents. They can’t afford to keep losing games to conference opponents if they want to keep up with the AFC East teams. Over the last few years if your division plays the AFC South you’re likely to send at least two teams to the playoffs.
Everything gets a lot harder and even murkier for the Steelers playoff chances this year knowing they have a few more weeks to go without Big Ben. A loss at home to the Ravens wasn’t the way Pittsburgh fans were hoping to start of the Michael Vick Era. While the Steelers chances of making the playoffs this year look like an uphill battle, it’s only week 5 and anything is possible.
