Yeah, normally I’m scared of playing a Packers tight end as well—but you might be in a pickle with no other option on your waiver wire in your traditional fantasy league. Also, dropping from the $4,800 price tag of Bennett to the $3,100 price tag on DraftKings for Rodgers could allow you to upgrade on another position you were rolling the dice on this week.
So, why is Rodgers a good option except for value and availability? Well it is simple, the Chargers were absolutely torched two weeks ago by the Browns tight ends (75 yards and a touchdown), and have given up double-digits points to tight ends in three of their five games this season.
On top of the Chargers woes against tight ends, Rodgers has been coming on of late—scoring double digits in three of his last four games, with two trips to the endzone notched on his belt as well. For the season, Rodgers is second on the Packers with 25 targets (only behind Randall Cobb), posting 19 receptions for 155 yards and two touchdowns.
