How the New York Jets Can Pick Up a Victory over the Redskins
Force Kirk Cousins Into Mistakes
We talked earlier about Kirk Cousins’ and his 68% completion percentage. It’s certainly a number that you would not expect from the quarterback of a 2-3 team. We also talked about how opportunistic the New York Jets’ have been on defense. They have already picked off quarterbacks six times. Rex Ryan only could dream about having a defense like this during his Jets’ tenure.
No quarterback likes to face pressure, and Kirk Cousins is no different. According to Pro Football Focus, Cousins has dropped back 67 times when under pressure, and thrown five out of his six interceptions. Kirk Cousins can be forced into mistakes, and the Jets have the team to capitalize on those opportunities. It’s a big key here for the Jets to win this part of the game.
